With the advent of computers with larger memory and computing power, engineering companies are migrating their designs to 3D. REDinvent specializes in converting legacy 2D drawings into 3D models and recreating 2D detailed drawings from 3D models.

We ensure that the feature tree of the assemblies in 3D is easily accessible to the customer so that they can modify the design in the future. Conversion can be done from gif, jpg, tiff, pdf or svg formats.

We provide reverse engineering services as well where the parts data needs to be collected from site and then recreated into drawings.

We also develop animations using 3D CAD for product companies which require their component assembly to be animated for in-house and customer presentations. The animation is delivered as a movie, complete with voice over, titles and annotations in .avi or .mpeg format.

Design Automation is a technique which helps the designers in simplifying and reducing their efforts by automating various steps in the design process. For example if one needs to design a pneumatic cylinder for various bore sizes and strokes, Design Automation can automatically generate the modified design in minutes on feeding the new bore and stroke values.

We do design automation in regular 3D CAD software as well as in 2D software like AutoCAD. We have capability in developing LISP routines to automate the design process.

Digital catalogues for engineering components, used by designers to reduce design cycles, can also be created using Design Automation. It can be made online through portals like 3DContentCentral (3dcontentcentral.com) where users can easily access them.
